Shea butter, also known as "karite" butter from (French "life") came to Europe in the 18th century. It bears fruit once a year and can live for 300 years. It is cold pressed from the fruit-nuts of the butter tree growing in Africa. It has a natural, mild smell, creamy color and a lumpy, compact consistency (liquid when heated). It contains a wealth of nutrients, vitamins A, E, vitamin F (bringing relief to tired muscles) and derivatives of cinnamic acid and phytosterols. Perfect for sensitive skin prone to irritation. It regenerates collagen. Perfect for heat during body massages, it relaxes the muscles thanks to the vitamin F. Its ingredients strengthen the cellular cement, which improves skin elasticity. Very deeply moisturizes the skin. It requires a gentle warming up before it is applied to any part of the body.
